artÉmotion is thrilled to offer a Partnering Workshop as part of our inaugural Winter Series! We are proud to offer a session for Pre-Professional students and a session for Adult students.
Ballerinas attending this workshop will put you in the studio with your very own dedicated professional male danseur, with the option to bring your own partner at a discounted price. If you are a male identifying dancer and want to participate please plan to bring your partner or contact us so we can appropriately pair you with a partner.

The Winter Series will be held at San Diego Dance Theater located at 2650 Truxtun Road, Suite 108, San Diego, CA, 92106.

PRICE INCLUDES:
The series will entail of rigorous training and rehearsal each day, including:
A 1.5 hour technique Masterclass with artÉmotion Directors Allison DeBona and Rex Tilton
A 2 hour Pas de Deux Masterclass and Rehearsal taught with Rex Tilton and assisted by current and previously professional Male Danseur Partners
We ask a few things as a requirement:
Advanced ballet and pointe technique is required (Pas de Deux Workshop will be en pointe )
Classical ballet attire is required (ballet leotard, full length tights, and pointe shoes )***
Informing us of your height at signup (We will do our best to assign an appropriate height partner based on this information)
***Ballet skirts and tutus are optional***

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do we need experience to participate?
No, you do not need experience and we will modify combinations to fit your needs!
What professional dancers will be assisting in the class?
We are excited to offer experienced professional male danseurs as partners. Combined, the “Brothers Tilton” account for nearly 75 years of Pas de Deux experience, we guarantee that you will be in the best hands possible! As of right now, Rex Tilton, Raymond Tilton, Ronald Tilton, and Roynon Tilton will be working with you! More to be announced.
Will I get my own partner, or will I have to share?
Sharing is caring, and in typical Pas de Deux class etiquette, each male danseur will assist 2 or more ballerinas. This, however, is to the ballerinas’ benefit, as dancing en pointe for 2 hours straight is extremely difficult, and being able to take breaks in between partner changes will allow you to participate for the entirety of the workshop.
What is your refund policy?
To stay consistent with all artÉmotion programming, our Winter Series will require full payment to reserve a spot. Refunds will only be accommodated with a Doctor’s note for injury or illness.
What will I learn? I’ve already taken a partnering class before.

I am traveling to San Diego for the Winter Series, will artÉmotion provide accommodations?
At this time, artÉmotion will not be able to provide living accommodations, BUT, we chose a central location in San Diego that will make it easier to find a hotel or Airbnb.
